      <image:title>Counselling - How does online counselling work?</image:title>
<image:caption>Online counselling is similar to in-person counselling except we meet entirely through a video counselling platform. This allows us to connect easily, making support convenient and accessible. You can contact me through my contact form or directly through email to ask questions or address concerns, or simply jump right to booking your first free consult or full length appointment through my online booking app. Our first appointment will be an intake session so I can gather as much background information needed in order to determine the best course of treatment for you. This is a collaborative process. After that, attending your appointments over Zoom are a breeze! A laptop or desktop computer work best but your tablet or smartphone will work too. Sessions are conducted on a secure, encrypted platform for your privacy and safety. I’m so happy you are here and thinking about taking this step!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - MaternalCare Counselling</image:title>
<image:caption>MaternalCare Counselling was founded on both personal and professional insight into the lack of support many women in Western culture experience today. Women have been conditioned to silently carry the emotional, physical, and mental load of motherhood, often without the understanding or resources they need. MaternalCare Counselling exists to change that — providing a space where women can feel seen, heard, and supported through every stage of motherhood and beyond. Rooted in empathy, evidence-based practice, and a deep respect for each woman’s unique story, MaternalCare Counselling offers a holistic approach to mental health and maternal well-being. Our mission is to help women reconnect with themselves, find balance, and move forward with confidence and clarity. You are not alone and deserve support. The hardest part is asking for help. It takes courage to reach out.</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - As many as 1 in 5 women in BC will experience significant depression, anxiety, and/or another mental health disorder within the first year after birth without treatment - and this can begin in pregnancy. Perinatal depression (up to 16% of moms) and perinatal anxiety (15.8% - 17.1%) is more common than gestational diabetes mellitus (13%) or hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (3-10%). 80% of moms experience the “baby blues” in the first few weeks after baby arrives. Symptoms usually resolve within a week or two and do not require treatment. 25% of all women have experienced a miscarriage</image:title>
